Creative action is what this Festival is all about. Why stop at the people behind the camers?
In 2024 we decided to encourage actors to apply to be Festival Stars. Their job? To appear in as many films as possible each year!
Teams can book the actors from Friday launch for up to an hour, or as negotiated, to take on a small, but perhaps decisive, part in their productions – we like the cut-away line idea of the General on the phone, saying “The missiles are in the air Mr President”, though no-one has used an actor for that yet…
2025 STARS
The inimitable Nicholas Gledhill and Kate Davies!
Nicholas Gledhill
Nicholas is a titan of Australian Film! His career began when he played the central role (PS) in “Careful, He Might Hear You” in 1983. His last film appearance was in the film movie Little Monsters, a very funny piece of work. His next appearance could be in your movie!
Kate Davies
Kate is a prize-winning theatre director, performer and script writer, with over 20 years working in mixed media and video creative projects. She also plays a mean hand of 500! She is a chameleon with her accents, Canadian, American and New Zealand being her favourites. Kate is ready to perform for you and help take your production to the next level!
